There will be a day of prayer and fasting on Saturday 4th September 2010. We will be meeting at SPC between 9.30am and 12pm and then again between 6pm and 8pm, finishing with communion. Please come along if you are able to, even for just a short while.

The second Christianity Explored course to be held at Strouden Park Chapel will begin on Monday 13th September at 7.00. It will take a similar format as the previous course with a meal followed by short video and group discussion.

As the summer holidays begin we look forward to welcoming Ben Clark of LCM to the seaside for our morning service at Strouden this Sunday! The service will start at the usual time of 10.30am, although there are no childrens groups running throughout the summer. On Sunday evening Doug Barnett will be joining us from 6.30pm - we hope you are able to join us!

Last Sunday Strouden Park Chapel had a day of family festivities with the End of Term Celebtration Service followed by a BBQ lunch, bathed in wonderful weather on the lawn! The night before the SPC had 'slept rough' using only cardboard for shelter in the church hall, raising money for children in Mexico. See pictures below.

Congratulations to Dean Burgis who has just graduated from the London Theological Seminary where he studied for two years. We look forward to what Dean will bring to the Church through his teaching and pastoral duties when he takes up the position of Assistant Pastor with us in September.

Don't forget the Bournemouth and Poole Convention this week, running from each evening until to Friday 2nd July at Richmond Hill/St Andrews URC. David Cook, coming all the way from Australia, will be speaking on 'Momentous News' each evening from 7.45pm. Chris Sinkinson will also be speaking at the event, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 10.30am.
