Family Festivities

Last Sunday Strouden Park Chapel had a day of family festivities with the End of Term Celebtration Service followed by a BBQ lunch, bathed in wonderful weather on the lawn! The night before the SPC had 'slept rough' using only cardboard for shelter in the church hall, raising money for children in Mexico. See pictures below.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Dean Burgis who has just graduated from the London Theological Seminary where he studied for two years. We look forward to what Dean will bring to the Church through his teaching and pastoral duties when he takes up the position of Assistant Pastor with us in September.
 
Bournemouth & Poole Convention

Don't forget the Bournemouth and Poole Convention this week, running from each evening until to Friday 2nd July at Richmond Hill/St Andrews URC. David Cook, coming all the way from Australia, will be speaking on 'Momentous News' each evening from 7.45pm. Chris Sinkinson will also be speaking at the event, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 10.30am.
 
Prayer Meeting

Please make every effort to attend the Prayer Meeting this Saturday morning at SPC. We'll start at 9.30am running through until 11.00am, but if you can't come for the duration please just pop in, eveni for just 10 minutes.

Walk Through the New Testament

This unique approach to the Bible will be held at Strouden Park Chapel on Saturday 25th September between 9.30am and 5.00pm. The sessions will allow you to'see the wood for the trees', reading your Bible will never be the same again!

A safe and spacious area allows the toddlers to move around and participate in the various activities, whilst parents can choose to sit and relax whilst the children make new friends. There is no charge for this group.

A youth club for teenagers aged 11 to 16. We run organised games, including pool and football as well as the occasional outing to popular attractions. If you prefer you can come along and just chill out on the sofas or enjoy a smoothie at the bar!

Christianity Explored

Each session is simple and relaxed, starting with a meal, and continues with a short Bible study followed by a DVD. The study is based on the Gospel of Mark, and as the story is opened up, Jesus walks off the pages of scripture and into peoples lives.
Ladies Fellowship

Each Tuesday at 3pm there is tea and coffee served for Ladies. This open to anyone in the community and there is a short talk.
