An after-school club which runs for 8 weeks with girls in year 7 and 8.

Each session presents Christian values, giving them a foundation for making wise choices and realising their value. It includes fun activities, such as: skin care, make up, hair care, nail care, etiquett and what not to wear.

At Shine it is hoped that the girls will:
1. View themselves as precious, valuable and beautiful
2. Recognize their dreams
3. Realise they have choices in every situation
4. Value others.

Shine uses professionals from different salons around the Bournemouth areas. The girls are treated to a supper at the end of the course and this brings Shine into the public sector by leasing with restaurants etc.
During the evening out the girls are given an opportunity to put into practice all they have learnt and allows the Shine team to evaluate the outcome of the course in a practical way.
